How we protect people
Habibi Stay only works if two kinds of people feel safe: the person opening their home, and the person making the introduction. Almost every decision in the product is made in their favor.
Here is what we hold ourselves to.
Nothing about you is public.
There are no public profiles or browsable listings. Members may choose a bounded Contacts check that returns only an on-app yes/no signal for phone numbers already in their own Contacts; it never returns a server profile, Host status, city, roles, network or availability.
Your address is yours until you give it.
A host's exact address and phone number are not visible to anyone before that host has personally agreed to a stay. Not to guests, not to the person making the introduction.
A private note is not a membership or invitation.
A member may privately save a reviewed phone contact, but that does not create a Habibi Stay account, relationship or invitation, and it does not contact the person. A non-user can verify their phone and request removal without learning who saved it or how many copies existed.
Saying no costs nothing.
A host can decline without giving a reason, and the reason is never passed on. Someone asked to make an introduction can quietly decide not to, and nobody is told they were asked. This is not a politeness feature. It is the reason the product can exist at all.
No scores, no reviews, no ranking.
Nobody is rated for hosting. Nobody is rated for staying. There is no reputation to protect, no streak to maintain, and no reason to say yes to something you are uncomfortable with.
We are not selling your relationships.
Your connections, contacts, and travel are not advertising inventory and will not be sold or shared. We would rather charge for something honest later than quietly monetize the thing you trusted us with.
