Delete your Habibi Stay account

Open Habibi Stay and go to Settings → Privacy and account → Delete account.

The app requires recent Firebase phone reauthentication, a clear acknowledgement and the word DELETE. The request is idempotent: retrying does not create a second deletion workflow.

What happens immediately

Your account is isolated from authenticated product access. Hosting and discovery are disabled; access grants and invitations are revoked; network and VOUCHED paths are retired; active requests and confirmed future stays are cancelled; current address and phone confirmations are removed; ordinary authored notes are scrubbed; scheduled jobs are cancelled; and the app clears its local session and signs out.

Other participants receive only neutral transactional state such as “This request is no longer active.” They are not told that you deleted your account.

Completion and retained minimums

Primary deletion or anonymization completes within 30 days. Firebase session revocation and provider deletion are retried if the provider is temporarily unavailable. Completed stays may remain as minimized, unlinked history for no more than 24 months. An active safety case may retain a restricted evidence snapshot for no more than the stated safety retention period. Current profile, exact address, phone and ordinary text are not retained in that history.

A minimal block-enforcement record is also kept, so that a block cannot be undone by either person leaving. It holds only internal account identifiers, the times a block was placed or lifted and how many times it happened, and never a name or any content. The privacy policy explains why.

A separate, server-keyed deletion tombstone is kept for up to 24 months so a restored database backup cannot reactivate the account. Database restoration is not allowed to receive traffic until the tombstone reconciliation check passes.

Deletion does not make information that another person already learned in the real world unknown, but Habibi Stay stops newly serving protected information.

If you cannot open the app, write to privacy@habibistay.app. Support may help you regain authenticated access to the in-app flow; an email alone is not treated as proof of phone ownership.
