Privacy choices
Habibi Stay keeps these choices narrow and tied to what the product actually does.
If you have an account
- Update profile and hosting information from the app.
- Decline or later disable Contacts permission in iOS Settings.
- Block another participant from a relationship or shared request. Blocking is enforced on the server and does not silently restore old relationships after unblocking.
- Report received request, Connector or Host-note content in the relevant request screen.
- Delete your whole account from Settings → Privacy and account → Delete account. Recent phone verification and the word
DELETEare required.
For an access or correction request that the app does not provide, write to privacy@habibistay.app from the email associated with your account when possible.
If you do not have an account
Someone may have saved a private representation of a phone contact without sending you a message or creating a relationship. You can use verified non-user phone removal to remove eligible saved representations and suppress new eligible saves for 24 months. The process does not reveal whether a representation existed, who saved it or how many copies were removed.
Private saves created before the removal locator was introduced were previously stripped of their deterministic phone hash for privacy. They cannot now be located from a verified phone without restoring the very identifier that was removed. Those legacy private saves remain owner-removable in the app but are not matched by this phone-removal flow. New saves use the dedicated locator and are eligible.
Verifying an active member phone does not delete that member's Habibi Stay account. Whole-account deletion remains a separate in-app choice.
If you are outside the United States
Habibi Stay is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. The choices on this page are the ones that work immediately, wherever you live. For anything they do not cover, write to privacy@habibistay.app. We do not promise a fixed response time and we have not appointed a European or United Kingdom representative, and the privacy policy says so in full rather than leaving you to assume otherwise.
Contacts discovery
Contacts discovery sends normalized phone numbers over TLS for a transient yes/no membership check. It does not upload contact names, and the server does not return member profiles. Read the full policy.
